(AGI) Sanaa, March 25 - Yemen has called for help against rebelHouthi militia who are advancing south towards Aden. The appealwas made to Arab countries by Foreign Affairs Minister, RiadYassin, after he also proposed an intervention by the PeninsulaShield Force of the Gulf Cooperation Council. He told alArabiya that the government would not meet the Houthi untilthey returned to the northern province of Saada. Deputysecretary general of the Arab League, Ahmed Ben Hill, said aproposal "will be presented tomorrow during a meeting offoreign ministers". The Shiite rebels are supported by forcesloyal to former President Ali Abdullah Saleb. On Wednesday twofighter planes bombed the Aden compound of head of state AbdRabbouh Mansour Hadi. (AGI).
