(AGI) Beijing, July 18 - China is bracing for the arrival ofthe super-typhoon Rammasun. It is due to come ashore on thecoasts of the Hainan Islands and the southeastern province ofGuangdong late Friday afternoon, late morning in Europe, saidChina's National Meteorological Center. The authorities haveevacuated about 26,000 people from high-risk areas. The typhoonhas passed over the Philippines and is considered to be one ofthe most violent to hit China in the last 40 years. It ismoving at 20-25 kilometres an hour, with inner winds blowing at180 kilometres an hour, reported the Xinhua press agency. (AGI).
