Spanish minister resigns as anti-abortion law repealed

(AGI) Madrid, Sept 23 - Spain's Justice Minister AlbertoRuiz-Gallardon has resigned following the repeal of thecountry's anti-abortion law. Ruiz-Gallardon was a strongsupporter of the law and, during his resignation announcementat a press conference, said he was not only resigning from theJustice Ministry, but was also leaving politics. On Dec. 20,2013 the Spanish cabinet approved restrictions to abortions,limiting them to cases of rape or if there was a danger to themother's health. .
