(AGI) New York, March 18 - UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moonwelcomed the announcement that Pope Francis will visit theUnited Nations on Sept. 25 to address the General Assembly. Henoted in a communique' that the pope's visit will come duringthe United Nations' 70th anniversary, during which its memberswill make decisions about sustainable development, climatechange and peace. He said he was confident the Pope's visitwould inspire the international community to double its effortsfor social justice, tolerance and understanding. The Pope'strip to the United States will also include Washington D.C.,New York and Philadelphia. .
