(AGI) Palermo, Nov 15 - The Italian Navy "Vega" vessel rescued208 immigrants off the coast of Sicily on Saturday evening,while 96 were saved by the "Sirio" in the morning. A total of354 immigrants, many of them children, were brought to shore atPozzallo, near Ragusa, after being rescued by the "Libra", andwere then transfered to the city's immigration receptioncentre. In Messina, 230 immigrants arrived on board a merchantship that had rescued them a few days earlier. The cargo ship,unable to dock, anchored outside the harbour while portauthority guard ships proceeded to take the immigrants toshore. (AGI).
