(AGI) Maputo, Nov 27 - A caretaker government should runMozambique for the next five years, said the leader of the mainopposition party. Afonso Dhlakama, of the former rebel movementRenamo, told a demonstration the ruling Frelimo Party "has nolegitimacy". He was, however, still against a return to aclimate of tension and violence, he told supporters in Beira,Sofala central province. "Problems now," he said in referenceto a deal with the government to end hostilities, "must only beresolved through dialogue. I'm nervous but if we resort toviolence we lose the argument." Renamo won more than 35 percentin the election compared to 61 percent for Frelimo, which hasruled since 1975 when the country won independence fromPortugal. Mr Dhlakama received 30 percent of the vote against57 percent for winning candidate Philip Nyusi. (AGI) .
