Kurds report IS commander in Mosul killed

(AGI) - Baghdad, Sept. 17 - The leader of the Islamic State inMosul, Yasseen Ali Suleiman Shalas, was killed on Tuesdayevening in an attack by the Peshmerga, as reported by theKurdish regional government's news agency RUDAW. According tothe news agency, the IS commander, known as Abu Abdullah, diedin a Peshmerga attack coordinated with U.S. air strikes on thevillage of Hasan Sham, in Mosul province.
