(AGI) Hanoi, Nov 24 - More than 65 Italian firms will take partin the Hanoi Business Forum. The forum has been organised bythe Italian ministries of Foreign Affairs and EconomicDevelopment, Confindusria, ICE, Abi, Rete Imprese Italia,Unioncamere and Conferenza delle Regioni. It aims to promotepolitical and economic relations between the countries andtalks will be set up to explore collaboration opportunities.The first Bilateral Economic Commission between Italy andVietnam will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 25 and will become aregular consultation on priority issues. Foreign Affairs viceminister, Benedetto Della Vedova, leads the team of 120entrepreneurs, who will stay in Vietnam until Wednesday. Theywill also visit the city of Ho Chi Minh, for more meetings. Themission's goal is to promote business opportunities in severalfields, including instrumental mechanics, energy andrenewables, medical and biomedical equipment, infrastructureand connectivity. It will also look at possible investments in119 industrial parks, which offer tax advantages andstreamlined bureaucracy. Vietnam has low labour costs, a youngpopulation and high education levels. Last year GDP rose 5.4percent and is estimated to increase 5.8 percent this year. . .
