Iran's former chief prosecutor Mortazavi disbarred

(AGI) Tehran, Nov 16 - Iran's Supreme Court has disbarred andbanned former chief prosecutor Saeed Mortazavi, accused ofordering the torture of three dissidents arrested during theJune 2009 protests against the regime of President MahmoudAhmadinejad. The protesters, Mohammad Kamrani, Amir Javadifaarand Mohsen Ruholamini, died in custody at the infamous Kahrizakjail, south of Teheran. The jail was closed in June 2009 on theorders of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khameni. Mortazavi wassuspended in 2010, following public outcry. . .
