(AGI) Barcelona, Sept 19 - Catalonia is pressing ahead with itsindependence referendum on Nov. 9, despite the success of theanti-independence vote in Scotland. This was announced by thehead of the Catalan Generalitat, Artur Mas. He told a pressconference in Barcelona that the independence process had beenbolstered by seeing a European Union country agreeing to hold areferendum. The Spanish government has already said it believesthe Catalonia consultation illegal and without juridical effectand is putting together an appeal to the Constitutional Court.(AGI) . .
