Ban Ki-moon welcomes reinstatement of Burkina's president

(AGI) - Ouagadougou, Sept. 24 - UN Secretary-General BanKi-moon on Thursday welcomed the reinstatement of BurkinaFaso's President Michel Kafando and transitional institutionsafter the failed coup of Sept. 17. The resumption of apolitical process "will enable Burkina Faso to holdpresidential and legislative elections in accordance with thecountry's constitution and transitional charter", Ban said in astatement.
