(AGI) Rome, March 9 - AGI is the ideal Italian partner ofBeijing's official newspaper the People's Daily, through itsAgiChina portal, and will cover the People's National Assembly.More than 3,000 delegates meet in Parliament from March 5 toMarch 15, to decide national issues two days after the People'sConsultative Assembly. The cooperation is due to the People'sDaily's concern "to promote international cooperation withforeign colleagues on news items, articles, comments andeditorial on the two sessions every year". The People's Dailywas founded on 15 June 1948 as the Renmin Ribao and as theofficial voice of the PCC's Central Committee. About fourmillion copies are printed daily. It is also published inEnglish, Japanese, French, Spanish, Russian and Arabic. Theeditorials are considered as authoritative statements ofgovernment policy. The digital edition was launched in 1997.AgiChina focuses on economic, political and socio-culturalissues. It provides analysis for ordinary readers and majorsocial networks such as Facebook, Twitter and the ChineseWelbo, from a team of sinologists and Chinese professionals,correspondents in Beijing and a network of Italian andinternational experts. Italy Daily has also been set up byAgiChina, and is AGI's first newspaper in Chinese. It offersItalian news and in-depth analyses of economic, industrial andenergy issues, as well as relations between China and Italy.(AGI). .
