(AGI) Vatican City, Dec. 14 - Pope Francis said hello to eachone of the 61 sick people and their escorts waiting for him inthe Chapel of the General House of the Oblates of Saint Joseph,adjacent to the parish church of Rome's San Giuseppeall'Aurelio on Sunday. "Thank you for the patience and love youoffer the Church. You are the strength of the Church. Continueyour lives with the peace and joy of the Lord", he told them.In the corridor that separates the General House from theparish church, Pope Francis greeted 20 oblates. "Most of uswere born last century but we must look forward with hope", thePope said joking on the elderly age of some of the attendants.Then, moving on to greet 60 couples with their newborns,baptised this year, who were waiting for him in a parish hall,the Pope said: "It's wonderful to see children, they project usinto the future. They are the germ of the future". He added:"Sometimes, you transmit your wishes to you children, andinstead you should pray: 'Lord, guard my child for the future'.Let us transmit to them the torch of faith". The Pope thenadvised the moms and dads to always remind their children ofthe date of their christening and added: "I would ask you aquestion, if I was sure it wouldn't put you on the spot: whoamong you remembers the date of your Baptism? I was baptised 8days after I was born, on Christmas Day". (AGI) . .
