Poland at Expo Milano 2015
A wooden case covered with recycled wooden apple crates begins the visitor's experience at the Poland Pavilion at Expo Milano 2015 as Poland pays homage to the leading fruit produced by the country. One of the attractions of the pavilion is its magical garden that welcomes visitors with the strains of a waltz by Wojciech Kilar. Ancient forests, swamps, Alpine mountains, granite rocks, lakes, sheltered valleys, and immense shifting sand dunes: Poland is one of the few European countries with such a variety of landscapes and habitats. There are 23 national parks in Poland extending over 300,000 hectares, or one percent of the total surface. Explore this fascinating country, beginning at Expo Milano 2015.
