(AGI) - Rome, Sept. 26 - The Superintendent of Rome's OperaHouse, Carlo Fuortes, speaking at a press conference held withthe capital's mayor Ignazio Marino, has said. "Riccardo Muti isthe theatre's honorary conductor and remains such. He thereforeshould not be replaced." Fuortes explained that "There hasnever been a musical director and there is not one now. Weshall have to decide whether someone should be appointed ornot. I certainly hope that there will also be women conductingindividual operas, since in this sense the field must bebroadened."
