(AGI) Vatican, Sept 28 - Pope Francis met some 30,000grandparents in St Peter's Square on Sunday, during the firstinternational day dedicated to old age. Citing the story of anelderly man who had fled Iraq because of anti-Christianpersecution, he said violence against the elderly was inhuman,just as it was against children but that God never abandons us.With His help the elderly would continue to be remembered bytheir people and the great family of the Church. Elderly peoplewho kept their faith were like trees that continued to bearfruit, but serious forms of discrimination
