(AGI) Amsterdam, Sept 30 - Netflix is set to make its Italianinternet TV debut on Oct. 22, with subscriptions costing from7.99 euros a month. Users will be able to sign into theiraccounts to stream original series such as House of Cards,documentaries, feature films and other programmes from all overthe world online. It will be available in high definition andultra high definition (UHD) 4K on almost all devices withscreens and internet connections, and through any internetprovider. The basic plan lets one person stream movies and TVshows in standard definition (SD) for 7.99 euros a month. Thestandard plan lets two people stream movies and TV shows fromNetflix at the same time and in high definition (HD), whenavailable, for 11.99 a month, and the premium plan lets up tofour people stream movies and TV shows at the same time and inhigh definition (HD) and ultra high definition (UHD) whenavailable. Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time, and thefirst month comes free. Once the channel is launched, Netflixwill be available on Smart TVs, tablets and smartphones,computers and a range of videogame consoles and set-top boxesconnected to the internet, as well as Apple TV and GoogleChromecast. Thanks to a partnership with Telecom Italia,Netflix will also be available through TIMvision set-top boxes,and Telecom clients will be able to add their Netflixsubscriptions onto their TIM bills. Various exclusivepromotions will be available through its partnership withVodafone, including Netflix subscriptions with the acquisitionof optic fibre or 4G services. Vodafone customers can alsoavail themselves of a simplified registration process and havetheir Netflix subscriptions included on their telephone bills.Netflix gift cards will go on sale at authorised dealers assoon as the channel is launched; these include GameStop,Unieuro, MediaWorld, Esselunga, Mondadori and Euronics. Thegift cards can be used just like any other payment method.Netflix in Italy will stream original series such asMarvel-Daredevil, Sense8, Grace and Frankie, Unbreakable KimmySchmidt, Marco Polo and Narcos, documentaries such as Virungaand Mission Blue, docu-series such as Chef's Table, and thefirst original Netflix feature film, Beasts of No Nation.Programmes for children and young people will also beavailable, as will subtitles and dubbing into Italian. One ofthe original Netflix series set to come out before the end ofthis year is Marvel-Jessica Jones, the second of the fourMarvel series, followed by the mini-series The Defenders, whichbrings together the characters from the four previous series.Titles already announced include Crouching Tiger, Hidden DragonII: The Green Legend, Jadotville, The Ridiculous 6 and WarMachine, starring Brad Pitt.
