Milan stock market leads Europe in strong showing

(AGI) Milan, Sept 24 - The Milan stock market gained 1.67percent to 20,691 points and the All Share rose 1.47 percent.The market showed little movement in the morning, but took offin the afternoon. Traders bought bank shares as well as Eni,Fiat and Telecom Italia. The market responded to news from theIFO index on confidence in the German market, but alsoresponded to Mario Draghi who said the European Central Bank'smonetary policies will remain accommodating until inflation isaround 2 percent.
