Italy's securities regulatory board bans short selling
(AGI) Milan, Nov 11 - The Italian securities and stock exchangeregulatory board (Consob) has extended until January 27 the banto take or increase short selling operations on Banca Mps andBanca Carige, issued on Oct.28. The Consob wrote a communiqueon Monday, the expiry date of the ban adopted in compliancewith article 20 of EU regulations on short selling. Theextension has been issued considering the market trend of thetwo securities, and applies also to derivative financial toolslinked to Banca Mps and Banca Carige stocks, as well as tointraday transactions and over-the-counter operations carried
