Italy increases use of oil, but cuts demand for road fuel
(AGI) Rome, Oct. 19 - Italy used about 5.1 million tonnes ofoil in September, 2.9 percent, or 144,000 tonnes, more than thesame month last year. After correcting for the number ofdelivery days, petrol consumption fell 3.1 percent, or 21,000tonnes, and diesel 1.7 percent, or 33,000 tonnes. Total fueldemand was approximately 2.6 million tonnes, 0.7 million tonnesof petrol and 1.9 million tonnes of diesel.
