(AGI) Rome, Mar 25 - Italians receive almost 1 billion emails aday and use at least two mailboxes. They always control spamand are happy enough to receive a newsletter. They consider alife without email complicated and consider WhatsApp anindispensable tool. This is what has emerged from the EmailMarketing Experience Report 2015, a study by MagNews, anItalian leader in email and digital marketing, investigatingthe relationship between Italians, email and messaging systemsoffered by social networks. The report shows that email is nowan integral part of every day life. Millions of people can nolonger do without it in private or at work and a growing numberof companies are choosing email marketing as a channel ofcommunication with their audience. The research was conductedon 1001 cases representing a community of 30.5 millionindividuals. They are regular internet users who are at least15-years-old. According to the Email Marketing ExperienceReport 2015, about 940 million emails are sent daily in Italy.Every Italian receives an average of more than 30 emails perday and men have more electronic mailboxes than women. Gmail isnumber one in Italy, chosen by 53 percent of users. Most peoplestill access their email online as "webmail". However,companies use specific email applications. A total of 220million commercial messages are sent via email in Italy everyday according to the report. The most frequently receivedcontents are to do with shopping, leisure and specialinterests, but also "service" communications covering bills,credit cards, utilities and current accounts. Women are moreinterested than men in newsletters about discounts, fashion,health, jobs and food. The new messaging tools, primarily onsocial networks, have not dented the centrality of email, buthave changed the habits of Italians. A total of 48.7 percent ofrespondents consider WhatsApp an indispensable tool, while 30.7percent think the same about Facebook. However, 15 percentcannot do without Skype. . .
