(AGI) Milan, June 4 - The Italian President of the Republic,Sergio Mattarella, will pay an official visit to Expo Milano onFriday, together with his daughter Laura, during thecelebrations of the "Italian Pride Week" which began with theparade on June 2, Italy's Republic Day. The president's visitwill comprise a mini-tour through two exhibitions and threepavilions, comprising the "private" part of the tour, beforethe ceremony at the Expo Center, the "institutional" part. Heis scheduled to arrive at Malpensa Airport at 10:20 a.m. and atthe Expo at 10:50 a.m. He will be met at the entrance byGiuseppe Sala, the sole Commissioner and Managing Director ofExpo S.p.A. They will walk together to the Italian Pavilion,the morning's first stop, where the president will be met bythe ministers of Agricultural Policies and the Environment,Maurizio Martina and Gian Luca Galletti, by the president ofthe Regional Council of Lombardy, Roberto Maroni, the mayor ofMilan, Giuliano Pisapia, the General Commissioner for theItalian Pavilion, Diana Bracco, and the prefect of Milan,Francesco Paolo Tronca. After the greetings and thehand-shaking, the president and his daughter will visit theexhibitions "A World Without Italy" and "The Power of Beauty",accompanied by the pavilion director, Stefano Gatti. Stillinside the Italian Pavilion, Mr Mattarella will place hisdigital signature on the Milan Charter, the Expo's immaterialheirloom. At 11:30 a.m., the president will be at the CascinaTriulza, where he will meet the representatives of theassociations and groups supporting the project. Then anelectronic shuttle will take the Italian president to PavilionZero, where Davide Rampello, the curator of the facility, willtake him on a guided tour. At 12:30 p.m., Mr Mattarella willattend a ceremony of the "Italian Pride Week". After thenational anthem and the welcome address by the mayor of Milanand the president of the Region, the following speakers willtake the floor: Giuseppe Sala; Albina Assis Africano, Presidentof the Board of the Commissioners General of Expo 2015; andMinisters Galletti and Martina. The ceremony will close at 1p.m. with a speech by the President of the Republic. Thepresident will be flown back to Rome at 2 p.m. (AGI). .
