(AGI) Milan, June 18 - A concert merging Italian opera withChinese music will be hosted at the Chinese Pavilion at theMilan Expo on June 22, as part of a day dedicated to the Hunanregion, an area in mid-eastern China known for its largenumbers of artists. Among these is the painter Liu Yi, awardedthe title of "knight of peace" by Beijing, who will be presentat the event and offer one of his paintings as a gift. Theconcert dedicated to Italian opera was organised by the artisthimself. It will feature the soprano Chiara Taigi, who willperform a duet with tenor Worren Mook accompanied by the Maffeiensemble. Renowned flutist Elena Cecconi will also be on stage,playing a golden flute once owned by Severino Gazzelloni. Afashion show with clothing from Hunan will also take placeduring the concert. (AGI) . .
