Italian magistrates slam justice reform as ineffective

(AGI) Rome, Sept 9 - The government's justice reform ignoresproblems of financial resources, a pivotal issue to ensure theefficiency of the judicial system, Italy's NationalMagistrates' Association said on Tuesday. "Whilst introducingtools to promote out-of-court dispute settlement is a positivestep, such tools will be of little effect if it is up to thelitigating parties to decide not to take their cases to court ,especially considering additional costs, lack of incentives andpenalties that discourage manifestly unfounded litigation," theAssociation said on Tuesday. .
