Italian gas consumption falls to 13-year low in May
(AGI) Rome, June 1 - Monthly gas consumption in Italy droppedslightly to a 13-year low in May after four consecutive rises.It was affected by sharper falls in civil and industrialconsumption, following a colder winter than 2014, more thancompensating for the rebound in thermoelectric power. Snam ReteGas data processed by the Staffetta Quotidiana energy watchdogshowed that Italy consumed 3,640.8 million cubic metres of gasin May, 0.4 percent less than 2014 and 1.4 percent less than2013.
