(AGI) Rome, June 9 - Italian doctor Ignazio Scaravilli,kidnapped in Libya on Jan. 6, has been freed. Sources close tothe Italian Foreign Office Crisis Unit reported the news,adding that Dr Scaravilli was in good health and likely to berepatriated within a couple of days. The orthopedic surgeon waslast seen after ending his shift at the Dar Al Wafa hospital inTripoli. The Huffington Post website, which also announced thenews, said he had been freed a week ago after a governmentpolice raid, organised by Islamist militia. He was kidnapped bya group of common criminals and jihadists with ties toAnsar-al-Sharia, the Libyan group with links to Islamic State(IS). (AGI). .
