Italian business mission to visit Tatarstan

(AGI) Moscow, March 24 - This year's first Italian business andinstitutional mission to Russia will start on Wednesday. Thedestination is Kazan, capital of the Republic of Tatarstan. Theinitiative was organised by the Italian Embassy in Moscow incollaboration with the Italian Trade Agency (ICE) and theAgency for the promotion and internationalisation of Italiancompanies abroad. Representatives of 18 firms will be led byItaly's ambassador in Moscow, Cesare Maria Ragaglini. The focuswill be on the sectors of tool manufacturing, facilities foragriculture, machines for processing rubber and plastic,medical equipment, building materials, car parts and ICT.During the mission, which will end on March 27, the ambassadorwill meet with the President of the Republic of Tatarstan,Rustam Minnikhanov. He will also participate in a paneldiscussion on economic opportunities in the region and speak atthe Architecture University of Kazan. "This is a very importantmission because of the existing ties between Italy andTatarstan and due to the great potential of development ofcommercial and industrial relations," said Ragaglini. "Italy isthe second-largest manufacturing country in Europe andTatarstan is a republic of the economically most dynamicfederation. We would like to make our technology and experienceavailable to companies in Tatarstan through industrialcooperation and the creation of joint ventures," the ambassadoradded.. .
