A conference on agriculture and measures financed through microcredit for new perspectives towards a more social agriculture will be held on Monday, September 21 at the Auditorium of Palazzo Italia at Expo Milano 2015. The event will be attended by Jose' Mujica, former President of Uruguay, Maurizio Martina and Andrea Olivero, respectively Minister and Vice-Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry Policies, Bruno Antonio Pasquino, General Commissioner of Expo Milano 2015, Giancarlo Caselli, President of the Scientific Committee of the Observatory on crime in agriculture - Coldiretti-Eurispes, and Roberto Moncalvo, President of Coldiretti. During the event, there will be a preview screening of the short film "The boys' vegetable garden", by the director Francesca Comencini.

The conference will be moderated by Alessandra Pesce, Crea, who will start the day with the welcome speech of Bruno Antonio Pasquino. "Social agriculture as a means of redemption - international stories" will be the title of the first session, with the presentation of Jose Mujica, followed by Nilima Munda and Father Luigi Paggi who will illustrate the project "For a pink sari," in Bangladesh. "The opportunities of social agriculture" will highlight the Italian scenario with the presentations by Andrea Olivero, Luca Sani, President of the Chamber's Agriculture Committee, Leonardo Di Gioia, Assessor for Agriculture of the Puglia Region, and Giuseppe Blasi, Head of the MiPAAF Department. The session "The contribution of social agriculture to the development of welfare systems" will be attended by Ilaria Signoriello, National spokesperson of the National Forum of Social Agriculture, Marco Berardo Di Stefano, President of the of social farms Network, Giancarlo Caselli, Giovanni Paura, INAIL and Maurizio Devescovi, General Director of Allianz. The morning will close with a debate on "The point of view of business organizations" with Roberto Moncalvo, Dino Scanavino, CIA, Mario Guidi, Confagricoltura, Roberto Cavaliere, Copagri, and Giorgio Mercuri, Alliance of Cooperatives. At the end Minister Martina will be speaking.
Mario Baccini, President of the National Microcredit Institution, will open the afternoon session at 15:00 hours. Speaking at the meeting, dedicated to "Microcredit, Social farming and International Cooperation", will be Letizia Moratti, president of the Ethics Committee of the sponsors and of the Technical Operating Committee of National Microcredit. The last two sessions, focused on "Corporate social responsibility: profit and no profit" and "The support of microcredit", will be enlivened by the presentations of Paolo Mosa, AD Snam Rete GAS, Marco Colnaghi, Make a Change, Nicola Corti, Secretary General of the Allianz Umana Mente Foundation, Raoul Romano, Crea, Riccardo Maria Graziano, Secretary of the National Microcredit Institution, and Angelo Maria Petroni, Secretary General of the Aspen Institute. Olivero and Baccini will close the conference.
