(AGI) - Zurich, Oct. 1 - Italy has dropped behind Croatia inthe latest FIFA World Ranking, falling from 16th to 17th place.Croatia slid two places from 14th in September. But the mostimportant changes regard the top 10. Argentina stays first with1419 points, just 18 more than Germany, which returns to secondplace by bypassing Belgium, now third with 1387 points.Portugal is fourth with 1235 points, while Colombia loses aposition to fifth with 1228. The Spanish team of Vicente DelBosque makes a big leap ahead, from 11th to 6th place. Dunga'sBrazil loses a spot to seventh place at 1204 points. Walescontinues its rise to reach eighth place (1195), overtakingChile at ninth, (1177). England under Hodgson rounds out thetop 10 with 1161 points. Austria, who has already qualified forEuro2016, climbs from 13th to 11th place, its highest positionever. Switzerland gains five places to 12th, while Romaniaslides from 6th to 13th place and Holland drops to 14th. Thebiggest mover in the top 50 is Norway (34th place, up 35),grouped with Italy in the qualifying round of Euro2016. Thenext FIFA World Ranking will be published on Nov. 5.
