(AGI) Rome, Sept 24 - Fruit and vegetable consumption byItalian households fell more than 20 percent during theeconomic crisis, reported Coldiretti, the Italian farmers'association. Per capita average consumption has dropped underthe 400-gram threshold recommended by the World HealthOrganisation, it reported at the Macfrut international fruitand vegetable fair. The main reason is the deflation-drivenspiral that began in 2007 and now represents a risk forcompanies and consumer health, Coldiretti said.
