General Commissioner BrunoPasquino took part in the opening ceremony, along with DeputyForeign Secretary Benedetto della Vedova, who underscored theimportance of the ties between the principality and Italy,remembering the latter's input during the opening negotiationsfor Europe's Association Agreement with Monaco. The ceremonywas followed by a parade along the Decumano axis to the MonacoPavilion.
