European markets close lower, Milan with worst results
(AGI) Rome, July 4 - European markets closed lower on Friday,with the exception of London, with Wall Street closed for U.S.Independence Day. Milan's FTSE MIB closed 1.49 percent down at21,559.19 points, the Cac 40 in Paris 0.45 percent lower at4,469.72 points, Frankfurt's Dax dropped 0.22 percent to10,007.40 points, and Madrid's Ibex 35 fell by 0.78 percent to11,007.7 points. London remained stable, with the FTSE 100rising 0.01 percent to 6,865,71 points. Austria's largest bank,Erste, plummeted by 15 percent. . .
