(AGI) Rome, Oct 20 - Italian oil and gas giant Eni, theOfficial Partner for Sustainability Initiatives in AfricanCountries of Milan Expo 2015, organised a meeting on Tuesdaywith representatives of the Republic of Congo in Casa Corriereat the Universal Exposition. The Congo is a key country for Eniin Africa where the company integrates sustainabilityobjectives with those of an operational and financial nature.The event, moderated by Mara Gergolet, a journalist on Corrieredella Sera, focused on two Eni sustainability projects thatrepresent the company's strong commitment to the country'sdevelopment. The Hinda Integrated Project aims to improveliving conditions for the communities in the areas around theM'Boundi onshore field and the Improved Cook Stove providesmodern technologies for cooking and access to electricity tohouses in rural areas to create opportunities for thedevelopment of small local businesses. Hinda is an integratedsustainability project that Eni is developing in the Congo foraround 25,000 people. The project includes activities invarious sectors such as agriculture, education, health and theenvironment with social awareness building activities. TheImproved Cook Stove project sees Eni in partnership with thePolytechnic University of Milan with the goal of creating abetter cooking stove for rural sub-Saharan Africa. . .
