(AGI) London, March 23 - A debate called "Equity Investments inItaly, a New Wave?" was held at the the Italian Embassy inLondon. It looked at the investment climate in Italy in thelight of factors such as the European Central Bank'squantitative easing programme, the drop in oil prices andstructural reforms by the Italian government. Other issuesincluded developments in the regulatory and legislativeframework, potential long-term investment opportunities, equityinvestments, the consolidation of Italy's banking system andthe most dynamic sectors of its production system. The eventwas attended by representatives of Italy's economic andfinancial worlds, including Carlotta de Franceschi, economicadvisor to Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, Marco Gay, president ofthe Young Entrepreneurs of Confindustria, the ItalianEmployers' Association, Domenico Siniscalco, Vice-President ofMorgan Stanley and Giuseppe Castagna, CEO of Banca Popolare diMilano.
