(AGI) Rome, July 12 - The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI)revealed that Russian cyclist Denis Menchov, who suddenlyretired on May 2013 despite previous victories including aVuelta d'Espana and a Giro d'Italia, has in fact been bannedfor two years due to anomalies on his biological passport. Theban will end on April 9 of 2015 and voided Menchov's resultsbetween 2009 and 2012, including a bronze medal at the Tour deFrance in 2010, which became a silver after Alberto Contadorwas disqualified.
