(AGI) Tunis, July 18 - A ceasefire has been agreed by rivalmilitias who have been fighting for five days for control ofTripoli airport, reported Zintan militia spokesman, Mahmoud alHatuis. The deal does not apply to other military basescontrolled by the group and gives control of the airport toanother militia, as proposed by Prime Minister Abdullah alThani. The conflict was between fighters from Zintan in thenorthwest, who have controlled the airport since the ousting ofMuammar Gaddafi in 2011, and groups from Misrata, a westerncoastal town. The leaders of the Misrata brigades claimed thatthe Zintan were linked to the former regime. (AGI) . .
