Over the course of the six months of the Universal Exposition, many activities have been planned at the Cascina Triulza. The civil society associations located there have been making a daily contribution to solving the planet's problems, stimulating collaboration among many subjects who can promote innovative proposals for a sustainable future. In this space, through October 31, visitors can participate in workshops, meetings, recreational and cultural activities, including some especially for children.

Tuesday, October 13, at18:30, there will be a debate on dibattito Accesso alle cure e ai farmaci in Italia e nei Paesi in via di sviluppo (Access to treatments and medicines in Italy and developing countries), held by the Paracelso Foundation to discuss access to treatments and medications, especially for patients with rare diseases.
For Fairtrade Day, discussions on migrations and Fair Carbon
On Wednesday, October 14, from 14:00 to 18:00, the event Accogliere per includere (Welcome to Include) organized by the CGM Cooperative Group will include discussions of the migration phenomena involving Europe that are causing a profound transformation in paradigms of coexistence in communities. Tensions and conflicts are breaking out, but the phenomena also show a capacity for welcoming and solidarity, one that can influence governments' actions and choices from the grassroots. The session will tease out which conditions cause these migratory phenomena, analyze their impact on the communities where the people arrive, identify and describe the experiences and models of assistance in the CGM network to arrive at a definition and a policy proposal based on collective responsibility and the promotion of a culture of inclusion.
Wednesday, October 14, from 10:00 to 13:30, there will be a meeting titled Fair Carbon, un nuovo sistema per un'agricoltura sostenibile organizzato da Fairtrade Italia (Fair Carbon, a new system for sustainable farming organized by Fairtrade Italia) that will officially kick off Fairtrade Day at Expo Milano 2015. The conference revolves around opportunities, benefits and perspectives from integrating Carbon Finance into Fairtrade agricultural supply chains. The case study is the banana supply chain, from growth to ripening, logistics and distribution: how can sustainability be maximized, and what will the benefits be?
The values of extra-virgin olive oil and social farming
Thursday, October 15, LILT, the Italian League against Tumors of Campobasso will hold a meeting from 10:00 to 13:30 on I segreti del benessere. Attivita' fisica, Dieta mediterranea, olio EVO, buon gusto e alta cucina (The secrets of health. Physical activity, a Mediterranean diet, extra-virgin olive oil, good taste and great cooking) which will show the healthful properties of the Mediterranean diet with the specific prevention activities against metabolic and tumor-producing diseases of its typical foods and EVOO, where a brochure will be introduced with nutraceutical facts. The discussion will include the beneficial properties of the emergence of hemp oil. A course will be given on the sensory characteristics of a good oil.
That same day, from 15:00 to 18:00, the schedule includes La sfida dell'agricoltura sociale (The challenge of social farming) with the CGM Cooperative Group, a discussion of sustainable agriculture, which joins production with economic value, the appreciation of the land and its communities, the defense of specific features and environmental and social sustainability.
Also on the same day, from 11:00 to 13:00 there will be a meeting on Ecostenibilita', ecocompatibilita' ed efficienza energetica (Eco-sustainability, eco-compatibility and energy efficiency) organized by the BCC (Cooperative Credit Banks - Iccrea Holdings). As part of its participation in Expo Milano 2015, Iccrea BancaImpresa is presenting 12 workshops on client businesses with the BCCs related to the subjects of the universal exposition. Many different subjects were proposed in the spirit of Expo Milano 2015, such as energy efficiency, internationalization, food production, structural funds and minibonds.
A weekend of education on world citizenship and sustainable fishing
Saturday, October 14, the Triulza Farmhouse will hold EAThink2015 International Exchange Workshop for Teachers organized by ACRA - CCS. Delegates from the European EAThink2015 project, in honor of World Food Day, will participate in the first international workshop for the project, which is dedicated to educating citizens of the world, from 10:00 to 16:00.
Sunday, October 18, from 18:00 to 20:00, the installation Fish Forward on sustainable fishing will be introduced. At the end of the events planned at Expo Milano 2015 for WWF Day on October 18, Triulza Farmhouse is hosting the unveiling of the stand for the project on sustainable fishing.
