The organisers said the history of mankind does notonly lie in texts but also in contexts: physical places,findings, works and objects that comprise the ineradicablerecord of great events in time and space. Tangible memories ofthe Great War reveal the interweaving of forms and effects onsome Central European countries which can still be seen,developments and milestones, evidence and mementos that relateto the events and constitute an irreplaceable interpretation ofthe historical events of our time.
