Angolan President to visit Rome for business talks
(AGI) Rome, July 3 - Angola's president, Eduardo Dos Santos,will be in Rome next Monday and Tuesday for a series ofmeetings with businesses and institutions in order tostrengthen relations between Italy and the African nation. DosSantos will arrive in the Italian capital on Saturday,accompanied by foreign minister Georges Chikoti, and will meetwith Italy's President Sergio Mattarella on Monday morning,followed by Prime Minister Matteo Renzi in the afternoon. Dos Santoswill dedicate Tuesday to business ties with Italy, and willmeet various businessmen including Eni's CEO Claudio Descalzi,the CEO and GM of Finmeccanica Mauro Moretti, Sace's CEOAlessandro Castellano, and Luigi Cremonini. Dos Santos andRenzi met in Luanda in July 2014 and both had expressedsatisfaction with bilateral ties between their two counties.Dos Santos in particular had urged Italian businesses to investmore in Angola, while Renzi invited Dos Santos to visit Italy.Angola is participating in the Expo in Milan with a massivepavilion more than 2000 square metres in extent, dedicated tonutrition and culture.
