(AGI) - Accra, 27 nov. - Woon-Ki Lyeo, korean ambassador toGhana, has stated that the minimal volume of trade betweenGhana and Korea now stands at 300million dollars. The trade items include cocoa beans, metal scrap, fish, andgold for Ghana's export to Korea, while used-cars and parts,textiles and accessories, electronics and household appliances,form Korea's export to Ghana. Lyeo said there are still greatpotential that is yet to be materialised, promising markets inboth countries which they may not be aware of, especiallybecause of the complementary nature of the trade ties Ghana andKorea have had over the years. He said this at Ghana-KoreaBusiness Luncheon hosted by the Embassy of the Republic ofKorea on the occasion of the 2015 Korea trade mission visit tothe country. "It is our own responsibility to grow and nurture thebilateral economic relationship to walk, run and jump, and tobecome a prominent figure in the regional and world economy,"he said. The ambassador urged all stakeholders to play theirroles, since economic activities and development involves allplayers from the private and public sectors working together.He emphasised that business networking has always been aneffective way to have up-close experiences of the new marketand connect with valuable new partners. Korea is Ghana's 34th largest export destination accountingfor 0.34 % of exports worth 34million dollars in 2014. (AGI).
