Italy's leading firms to visit Cairo in January

(AGI) Cairo, Nov 26 - A delegation of Italy's leading companieswill visit Cairo before the end of January, said EgyptianMinister of Industry, Foreign Trade and SMEs, Tareq Qabil, in apress release. The Italian Ministry of Economic Developmentwill lead the delegation. The decision was taken when MinisterQabil met Marcello Sala, the Italian head of theItalian-Egyptian Business Council, and the Italian ambassadorto Cairo, Maurizio Massari. The visit is one of a series thisyear, aimed at strengthening economic relations between the twocountries, with Minister Qabil reiterating the Egyptiangovernment's desire to develop and strengthen

The visit is one of a series thisyear, aimed at strengthening economic relations between the twocountries, with Minister Qabil reiterating the Egyptiangovernment's desire to develop and strengthen trade andinvestment with Italy, its biggest partner in the EuropeanUnion. The minister outlined to Sala and Massari the newinvestment opportunities available in the car, marble,plastics, leather and food industries. For his part Mr Salastressed the interest of Italian companies in investing in theEgyptian market, emphasising the need to ramp up businessmeetings especially for small and medium-sized companies whointend to invest in Egypt through partnerships with localcompanies.
