Uber banned in Delhi after taxi driver accused of rape
(AGI) New Delhi, Dec 8 - Authorities in New Delhi have bannedinternational taxi-booking service Uber after a driverallegedly raped a female passenger. Indian police arrested thesuspect on Sunday, broadcaster NDTV reported. Deputycommissioner of police for North Delhi, Madhur Verma, specifiedthat the driver was held at his home in the Uttar Pradeshdistrict, where his car was found as well. The victim is a26-year-old woman from a New Delhi suburb, who ordered a taxiusing the Uber app on Friday to take her home. The driver, whoappeared in court briefly to be remanded in
