(AGI) Rome, Oct 7- Three scientists have won the ChemistryNobel Peace Prize or their work on DNA repair. Swede TomasLindhal, American Paul Modrich and the Turkish-American AzizSancara were awarded the prize for their research on how cellsrepair DNA. The Swedish Royal Academy of Science said: "Theirwork has provided major knowledge on the functioning of aliving cell and on how it could be used for the development ofnew anti-cancer treatments." The scientists will receive 8million Swedish crowns (about 862,000 euros). . .
