(AGI) Roma, Sept 11 - The European response to the crisis lacksa focus on growth and employment, stated Italian EconomyMinister Pier Carlo Padoan at the Forum Eurofi in Milan.According to Padoan, macro data were disappointing because noone understood the need for a different approach. In fact,Europe reacted to the 2007 crisis with a determined attempt totighten budgets and such a view produced important results thatshould be preserved. Later on, the banking union dealt withmarket fragmentation. Now we need to move toward growth andemployment, Padoan concluded. (AGI) . .
