One thousand Iraqi civilians killed in June, says UN
(AGI) Geneva, June 24 - At least a thousand civilians have diedand over 1,200 have been wounded in the continuing conflict inIraq between the Iraqi army and the jihadists of the IslamicState of Iraq and al-Sham's (ISIS), UN Human Rights spokesmanRupert Colville said on Tuesday. At least 757 people werekilled and 599 wounded between June 5 and 22 in the country'sthree northern provinces.
