(AGI) Naples, Sept 26 - The president of Italy'santi-corruption watchdog, Raffaele Cantone, has distancedhimself from remarks made by Naples mayor Luigi De Magistris,who said he is being targeted as part of a plot. De Magistris,a former magistrate, received a 15-month suspended sentence onWednesday for abuse of office while working on a corruptioncase. "I do not share any of his remarks, a magistrate mustcomply with the rulings," Cantone told reporters, underlininghis good relationship with De Magistris. "Once his angersubsides, he will realise that he has no choice but to respectthe sentence.
