(AGI) Rome, July 16 - A first round of talks opened onWednesday in Algiers between the government of Mali and themain armed groups, who are still in a strong position in thenorth of the country. "We can see a light at the end of thetunnel," Algerian Foreign Minister, Ramtane Lamamara, toldMISNA news agency. The minister has been mediating between thewarring parties since January 2012.
