(AGI) Cape Town, Oct 1- Italy and South Africa share a businessplatform to launch and support young African entrepreneurs onjob markets. The initiative was launched by the Italy-SouthAfrica Summit which kicked off on Thursday in Cape Town,organised by The European House-Ambrosetti. The organisation'sspokesperson, Neo Masombuka, explained this is an onlineapplication, to be used on smartphones, enabling youngentrepreneurs to interact with Italian and South Africanmanagers and CEOs. "This initiative was adopted by Ambrosetti'sboard of directors, to tackle the issue of youth unemploymentin South Africa," Masombuka said. The programme will selectseven young entrepreneurs who will be trained in the next sixmonths by managers participating in the Summit. "This is anopportunity also for Italian businessmen, to network andestablish long-term relations which might open newopportunities," explained Masombuka. The event, implemented byBrand South Africa, a brand image company, has seen thecollaboration of the National Youth Development Agency whichaims at relaunching job opportunities for the young, and MaraFoundation, a multi-sectoral company operating on Africanmarkets and internationally.
