(AGI) Karachi, Feb 23 - Trade links between Italy and Pakistanstill have great potential for development in several sectorsof mutual interest, said Italian Ambassador to Pakistan,Adriano Chiodi Cianfarani, during his visit to Lahore, inwestern Pakistan. The Ambassador met the Italian DevelopmentCommittee, an organisation that aims to promote and strengthenthe long-standing trade relations between the two countries. Mr Cianfarani met a group ofartists performing in Lahore, who will present their projectsat the Venice Architecture Biennial. Previously, the diplomathad attended the Lahore Literature Festival (LLF), an eventco-sponsored, for the second time, by the Italian Embassy inIslamabad, thus confirming its commitment to supportingcultural events in Pakistan. Ambassador Cianfarani expressedhis appreciation for the festival which, despite the recentbomb blast, was attended by many high level speakers andauthors from around the world, who provided a platform for anopen and frank discussion on issues ranging from art to cultureand foreign policy.
