(AGI) Rome, Sept 24 - The Director General of China'sInternational Cooperation Bureau, Liao Jinrong, and the DeputyDirector General for Italy's Public Security, Antonino Cufalo,who also serves as head of the Criminal Police central office(CriminalPol), signed an agreement on Thursday which will seeChinese and Italian police officers working together to assisttheir fellow nationals and prevent common crimes in populartourist destinations. Italian Police Chief Alessandro Pansa waspresent for the signing. Italy already established similarjoint policing operations with Spain and Croatia a few yearsago. The Memorandum of Understanding between Italy and Chinawas signed during the numerous bilateral and operationalmeetings that took place at the fifth European Police ChiefsConvention at The Hague.
